Visama Mae Chan – Our First Luxury Tented Camp launches December 9, 2023 with traditional Lanna Ceremony
Intuitive planning has been the key as we seek to open our first Visama Lodge this year – in collaboration with our Group Director of Projects and our Design Director the product is taking shape quickly for completion in December 2023. The key to a successful launch will be the parallel delivery of the Visama operating platform with all the other facets of marketing, licensing and local community.
It is in these situations where one gains recognition in depth for the value of people, the creation of passionate team members to carry the flag and the huge value in having the local authorities and community on board. Crafting and curating good conditions is therefore in my view one of the most important aspects to the durable success of any enterprise particularly one in remote areas such as Visama Lodges.
The development is exciting in that we are bringing in the following new innovations for tented camps :
Our 360 degree HMP Master operating system to insure staff maximize their time in guest contact and delivery of services.
The Ambalama – our social heart for the guests to engage – one of the major travel trends we can see is the need for connection on every level.
Re purposed Lanna House for the Restaurant.
Our own gardens to produce vegetables, edible flowers, eggs and indeed in the future potential for Goats Milk and other products to support our efforts to go as local as possible.
Our own rice paddies to be eventually harvested by local farmers with proceeds to the Friends of Thailands Daughters – the charity organization behind the development of the Visama Lodge Chiang Rai.
The efforts of the right team can bring about a huge community plus as we launch on the outskirts of the village of Mae Ai. Connection is the way forward for all time to encourage a powerful bond between tourism and the community in a sustainable way.
